Client Case Study: Sam Used A Custom Program To Form An Exercise Habit

I’ll MAKE habitual exercise part of your life - or die trying!

You or someone you know can really benefit from my online services.

Once you’ve read Sam’s story below, you can contact me here, or send this on to your friend or family member who needs help to establish a habit of consistent, smart physical training.

About Sam
Meet Sam. He’s in his early 40s - married with two young kids. Working as a Christian pastor.

Meet Sam

Sam and I were chatting at a get together recently. We were talking about my work, and the conversations segued onto his own fitness journey - which is a common occurrence!

Sam had an active childhood and played some sport as a uni student, but as time wore on he had stopped any sort of vigorous exercise or dedicated training. Nowadays, his activity was limited to walks with the dog, or the family, plus active play with his kids.

I raised with Sam the mental health benefits of getting fitter and stronger, saying that he really ought to consider that given the extremely high burnout rate in his chosen profession. Choosing to remain sedentary leaves one of the most effective mitigating strategies against depression and anxiety ON the table.

I said to him that  I wasn’t trying to put the hard sell on him, and that it didn’t matter to me whether he became my client or someone else’s, but that I believed it would help him immensely to build up his skills at being able to do some basic strength and fitness training. If he could give me two, 45-minute sessions per week, it would not take long before he noticed a difference in his energy, mood and physical capability.

Happily, Sam was keen to try out one of my custom programs

About The Custom Program

We had one session together in-the-flesh, walking through the elements of basic resistance training technique. From there on it has been 100% online.

I’ve checked in with Sam every month to find out how things are going (in terms of enjoyment, motivation, program adherence, feedback on specific exercises and progress towards his goals). He sends me a video form check, too. (That is, a video or two of him doing one of the prescribed exercises).

Sam is now well on his way to being totally self sufficient in doing self directed strength and fitness training.

I find this immensely gratifying.

Why?

Because this service can have a massive impact in someone’s life for a very small amount of money (relatively speaking).

Sam has shelled out these sums so far (prices as at Oct 2023);

  • $50 for program establishment

  • $75 for one in-the-flesh PT session

  • $264 for three, four-week long custom programs

  • Total = $389

$389 to gain the skills and knowledge needed to navigate around inexperience (in the gym) and some injury concerns, plus a fair few years of being mostly sedentary, to be well on his way to having established a habit of regular exercise. Exercise that is safe, and health promoting too boot. (As opposed to being overly fatiguing and injurious).

That is bang for your buck!

Do you need this sort of help? Please get in touch with me about a custom program. I don’t bite, and it’s against my convictions to hard-sell you on anything. I’m VERY motivated to help you progress in this area.

Now, if you need more help than I’ve outlined here (especially with training and nutritional accountability), then you could be better served by online coaching. It’s more hands-on than what Sam did, and it’s great for people who need more assistance than Sam had.

Here’s what Sam had to say recently, via a 5-star google review:

“I credit Tim with getting me back into routine training after a long break, and getting me started in strength training. I've appreciated his attentiveness when I've had difficulties and his down-to-earth explanations of why different sorts of exercises are useful. I would recommend him to anyone looking to get into (or back into!) physical training.”
